History
The Philipsburg Mining District led the original United States silver boom in the late 1800s, and Montana carries the nickname the Treasure State for its mineral wealth. The first gold discovery in the Montana territory came in 1852 at Gold Creek, near present-day Garrison.
Silver, copper, nickel and platinum have all since been discovered and mined in Montana, and the state is home to world-class deposits and large-scale producers. Lannister Mining describes the setting as a safe jurisdiction for exploration. The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology publishes public geologic information on the state.
Lannister Mining's June 2026 investor presentation goes deeper into the project than this site. It is published on the company's Invest page for investors and exploration partners.
