What is the Basin Gulch property?
The Basin Gulch property is a gold and silver exploration project in west-central Montana, explored by Lannister Mining. It lies in the historic Philipsburg Mining District, which led the original United States silver boom in the late 1800s.
The property is primarily on patented land. Its mineralization is hosted in oxides and reported as high grade and near surface. A core of 11 patented mining claims is surrounded by 53 unpatented claims, for a total of 1,107 hectares. More than 320 historical drill holes have been completed, the property has not been mined out, and Lannister Mining reports that two-thirds of it is still unexplored. Access is year-round from Philipsburg on paved and well-maintained gravel roads.
